TOURNAMENT RULES
PIGSKIN AIRRAID 7 ON 7 RULES
*ALL TEAMS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN JERSEYS
● Mouth guards will be worn by all players while on the field
● Soft shell helmets are optional to be decided by parents and players
● No Tackling
● Coaches and players will exhibit sportsmanship for the entire tournament. Any
unsportsmanlike conduct will result in ejections.
● Games are 20 minutes long with running clock
● Possessions start on 40 yard line
● First downs are made by crossing the 25yd line and the 10 yd line.
● Three downs to get a first down/ or touchdown inside the 10 yd line.
● PAT snaps are from the 3 yd line for 1 point and the 10 yd line for 2 points.
● QB has 4 seconds to get the pass off, over 4 seconds will be considered a sack, 4
second clock starts at the snap
● Possession changes after PAT attempt, failure to make a first down, or turnover.
● One timeout per team per game
● All offensive formations must be legal sets.
● One hand touch anywhere will be considered a tackle.
● No running plays allowed.
● Offensive coaches may be in the huddle, defensive coaches must coach from the
sideline.
● No overtime in pool play, in bracket play overtime will consist of 3 plays from the 10 yd
line. Each team has an attempt to score in each overtime.
● Scoring:
Touchdown- 6 points
Interception- 2 points
PAT- 1 point from the 3yd line, 2 points from 10yd line
PENALTIES
Defensive pass interference- automatic first down and 5yds from previous line of scrimmage.
Offensive pass interference- previous spot and loss of down
Defensive holding- 5yd penalty from previous line of scrimmage.
Illegal procedure (offense)- Loss of down
Defensive offsides- 5yd penalty
Fighting/ unsportsmanlike activity- ejection from game. If any player leaves the sideline to participate in fighting or unsportsmanlike activity the entire team will be ejected from the tournament.
Seeding, Tournament, and Tie-breakers:
Teams will be seeded according to overall records from pool play. Records which are ties after
pool play will be broken as follows
Head to Head
Fewest points allowed
Most points scored
